Five Easy Steps

Scripture Reflection

John 14:26Amplified Bible (AMP)

26 But the Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will help you remember everything that I have told you.

In this lesson, we will learn to rely upon the Holy Spirit through His Character.

Step One

Look to Scripture and begin with letting God know you need help in a particular area of your life. As you ask for help, "Ask the Father to reveal to you the Holy Spirit as your Helper"

Step Two

Before you begin to pray what you need help in, "Wait for the God's presence to bring peace in your heart." When peace comes, you will learn to have assurance in prayer--before you ask. This is the step that is missed most often.

Step Three

Now that assurance has come in your heart, before you pray, "Be still and listen from your heart of God's Love for you. Learn to build yourself up in God's Love and Assurance." As you listen, journal your thoughts and date.

Step Four

After you have been assured in your heart through God's Peace, and you have asked to hear God's voice and listened, "Now, make your petitions, supplications, be made known unto God for the Holy Spirit to be Your Helper.

Step Five

Repeat Step Two: In the last step wait for the presence of God to fill your heart again (Even though His presence is already there) so His presence will bring assurance. Here, you will learn to receive God's Grace and be positioned for your faith to be released in thanksgiving unto God as you stand on this Scripture as your promise.

Each day, "Come to this Scripture (I do this several times a day) and go through each character of the Holy Spirit." Here, you will learn to rely upon the Holy Spirit and hearing God's Voice.

Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His Righteousness and all these things will be added unto you.
