Five Insights to Seeing in the Spirit

Seeing in the Spirit
A Journey in the Word of God

Welcome to the Seer's House Where Seer's of Jesus Meet in the Secret Place

Proverbs 4:25-27 King James Version (KJV)

25 Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee.
26 Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established.
27 Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.

Meditating upon the Word of God was the path that the Holy Spirit chose for me to begin to see in the Spirit.  As I remained faithful to meditate upon the Word of God, one day the Holy Spirit put it in my heart to begin to "Look to see the Word of God."

Psalm 119:130 New King James Version (NKJV)

The entrance of Your words gives light;

It gives understanding to the simple.

  • First, as we look at this Scripture we see that the "Entrance of Your Words" give light.  First, we see that the Holy Spirit uses the Word of God to form a vision.

At the same time, the word "Entrance" in the Hebrew means: an opening. While most think about "Entering into God's presence-by faith, the secret to having vision begin is allowing the Word of God to rise up in your heart-where you are."  Here, you put faith in God's Word to come alive by the workmanship of the Holy Spirit in your vision.

  • Secondly, as we continue to study the meaning of the word "Entrance" this word also means "Throw open in order to appear; to be free."
Allowing the Word of God to come to you where you are, is a work of God's Grace to minister to you.  I am reminded of John the Revelator when he wrote in the Book of Revelation of "One who sat on the right hand of the Father, who had a Book in their hand. John saw the back side of the Book with no writing, and no one was able to open it.  For that reason many sang, Who is worthy to open the Book."

It is very important to know the Holy Spirit desires to allow the work of the Person of Christ Jesus open His Word in your heart to be revealed.  It is the Word of God the Holy Spirit will cause to enter-in, or be rolled out upon the eyes of your heart to see Jesus, and the Word of God."

I remember when I was first learning this from the Holy Spirit that He gave me a vision of a "Flying Scroll before my eyes." The Flying Scroll was golden and beautiful and it rotated in the sky in a circular movement as it flew from east to west.  There was writing on each side, however, I could not see the writing.  When the Flying Scroll passed before my eyes there were horse men riding different colored horses close behind.

Zechariah 5-8 King James Version (KJV)

Then I turned, and lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a flying roll.
And he said unto me, What seest thou? And I answered, I see a flying roll; the length thereof is twenty cubits, and the breadth thereof ten cubits.
Then said he unto me, This is the curse that goeth forth over the face of the whole earth: for every one that stealeth shall be cut off as on this side according to it; and every one that sweareth shall be cut off as on that side according to it.
I will bring it forth, saith the Lord of hosts, and it shall enter into the house of the thief, and into the house of him that sweareth falsely by my name: and it shall remain in the midst of his house, and shall consume it with the timber thereof and the stones thereof.
Then the angel that talked with me went forth, and said unto me, Lift up now thine eyes, and see what is this that goeth forth.

It was not until August of 2013, the meditation of God's Word allowed me to visit the "House of the Prophet Zechariah in a heavenly visitation."
This reveals a different level of visions.  That is, "You begin with the entrance of God's Word to allow the Holy Spirit for you to see the vision.  Secondly, you learn to enter into the vision and participate in what you are being shown."

Daniel went through this type of experience in Daniel 8.  Here, Daniel had vision yet in Daniel 9, "Daniel entered into the vision."  Lastly, in Daniel 10, "Daniel came out of the heavenly vision with physical substance from his vision."
  • Thirdly, after you meditate upon the Word of God and allow the Holy Spirit cause the Word of God to appear before your eyes, you will eventually enter into that vision--in heavenly visitation in an increased measure.  Here, we continue to read in this Scripture, "Entrance of Word gives light" and we learn more about the young Visionary.
Here, the words "Gives light" represents the idea of to give light to the eyes. Learning to look is important for the Holy Spirit to begin to form a vision, through light.  In John 14:21(b) we read, "I will manifest myself (Jesus) to those that love me."  Here, the word manifest means: to meet the eyes with light.

However, there is a mystery to this thought.  Every vision that you are about to receive, "Jesus has gone before you to prepare a place for you to receive that vision." Jesus said in the Book of John, "I only do what I see the Father do."  Here, every vision that is given to you--is first revealed from the Father, to His Dear Son--Christ Jesus.  Jesus is the Apostle of your confession, and Author and Finisher of your faith.   This is important to know because the purpose of meditating upon God's Word is to reveal "What the Father is doing in your life through Jesus."

This is what the Apostle Paul meant by, "It is Christ who lives through me."  Every vision, "Is the expansion and unfolding of the revelation of Christ Jesus in the Word of God--distributed by the Holy Spirit."  Jesus is our High Priest, or Forerunner, who prepares a place for every believer to see the secrets, and mysteries, the Father has prepared for those who Love Him to receive.  For that reason, "The word Forerunner means: a lightly armed scout" and more.

  • Fourthly, we continue to read, "The entrance of God's Word gives light to the simple and understanding."  Here, the word understanding means: discernment.  Seeing the Word of God comes alive before your eyes is discernment that opens the realm of the kingdom of heaven the real world in which every one growing up in the Spirit of Sonship lives in.
My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. (Proverbs 4:20)

I remember when the disciples were in the boat waiting for Jesus to come when a storm arose in the night.  As the storm came upon the waters the boat began to be tossed to and fro, and the disciples began to fear.  However, Jesus appeared walking on the water towards them --during the storm, and the disciples were so afraid they "Thought they saw a spirit."  However, only one person out of the twelve disciples present knew and saw it was Jesus and that was Peter. It was not until Jesus said, "Fear not, it is I" that the disciples were comforted in the storm.

"Those who do not meditate upon the Word of God--do not see Jesus which is true discernment."  Hallelujah!

  • Fifthly, we continue to read, "The entrance of God's Word gives light to the simple."  Here, the word simple means, "Those who are continually being spread out, those who are continually be enlarged."  Meditating upon the Word of God enlarges our capacity to see Jesus, and enlarges our capacity to be more enlarged inSIDE the Person of God in Christ.
Every vision is formed by having "Faith in God's Word: God through Christ by the Holy Spirit."

Three Step Method of Journaling:

1. How can I reflect upon what the Father is speaking to me?
2. How can I journal what the Father has shared, through revelation?
3. How can I respond what the Father has spoke to me?

Four Insights to Seeing in the Spirit and Five Examples of the Prophetic Presbytery

Four Insights to Seeing in the Spirit

Five Examples of the Prophetic Presbytery

Welcome to the Seer's House

Welcome to the Seer's House

Acts 9:9
In Damascus there was a disciple named Ananias. The Lord spoke to him in a vision, “Ananias!” “Here I am, Lord,” he answered.

I am always in awe of how the Holy Spirit orchestrates a vision to those who are prayerfully seeking the Lord in prayer. In today's post I wanted to reflect on the Life of the Apostle Paul after his conversion and a man by the name of Ananias.

There are many instances in the Life of Paul where he experienced what he could not see in the visible realm of the earth, from the invisible realm of the kingdom of heaven.

To study each one, is exciting for the Life of an Intercessor out of a deep hunger to walk in God's Word, meditate upon God's Word, in order to see in the realm of the invisible kingdom of God.

Here, our Scripture is a narrative around the Life of Paul who had just been through the road to Damascus experience of seeing and hearing the Lord Jesus.  This experience caused Paul to be blinded by the Great Light that shined from Jesus and the response of Paul was to seek the Lord in prayer for three days and three nights.

Here, we notice four insights and  thoughts of the Life of a Seer:

1. Nothing is tangibly seen in the life of the visible realm: At first, this might seem to be non-interesting to the Life of a Seer but this is very significant to the assignment of walking in the Life of the Spirit Paul would need in his assignment from God. Paul was totally secluded from the natural world.

2. A time of transformation of the heart: Here, the Father already knew that Paul would be an Apostle and all the provision of His Grace to fulfill his assignment in the earth.  However, Paul probably used this time to think about how he persecuted the church, how he helped assist opposition of the cause of Christ Jesus and His death upon the cross and resurrection-and more.

Paul said in 1 Timothy 1:12, "I thank Christ Jesus our Lord who has given me strength, that considered me trustworthy, appointing me  to His service." Paul went on to say, "I was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and a violent man; yet because I had acted in ignorance and unbelief, I was shown mercy."

Here, we see that receiver of the ability to to experience the invisible realm of the kingdom is not based upon an office, a title, the wretchedness of ignorance or  unbelief.  The ability to experience the Visionary means of the Holy Spirit is God's mercy and unconditional Love.

3. Your prayer life reveals your assignment of what you see in the realm of the Spirit: This is one of the areas of seeing in the Spirit that is key to the life of Paul to grow and learn by. Paul's eyes were blinded because he was called to open the eyes of those who were ignorant of who Christ is/was to a people who are ignorant and never heard of Christ Jesus. At the same time, God's great mercy to Paul would equip Paul to show great mercy to those in whom he is sent.

Welcome to the Seer's House

"What is it that you have experienced in the invisible realm of the kingdom through prayer? As you journal your experiences you will see what God has assigned you to accomplish in His will and purpose for your life."

Write Your Thoughts:

Welcome to the Seer's House

Paul, showed the reader a notable cause of what is assigned to him as an Apostle. Paul witnessed Jesus--Himself, in a vision and was called by God through His Son to witness the resurrection and life of Christ Jesus.  This was not the only time Paul saw Jesus in visions and experienced Jesus this way--which makes the Life of Paul exciting to study.

Every Apostolic/Prophetic Seer must experience Jesus in visions by witnessing the resurrection of Jesus.  If there is no witness of the resurrection of Jesus, then this person who sees in the Spirit is not an Apostolic/Prophetic Seer. At the same time, if you have seen Jesus in the realm of the Kingdom this does not qualify you to be any of the Grace Gifts of the Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor, Teacher.

According to the pattern of the church as Paul described in the Book of Ephesians, "Every one looks to Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith." Here, Paul was made an Apostle by the command of Jesus Himself, who is the Head of the Church.

In Acts 9:15 we read, "Go!" said the Lord, "This man is My chosen instrument to carry My name before the Gentiles and their  kings, and before the people of Israel."

Welcome to the Seer's House

Every believer will grow in the "Art of Seeing in the Spirit through the Secret Place" to be a witness of the resurrection and life of Christ Jesus--to see Him."

4. Just as Jesus relied upon the Holy Spirit to be filled with the Father, "Every believer relies upon the Holy Spirit to be filled with the Father through Christ Jesus."  This is the secret to seeing in the Spirit.

In every court of law, a witness is someone who has "Seen and Heard" what they are giving Testimony to. If you have no documented proof that you have "Seen and Heard" on a regular basis--then you on your way to growing in the Secret Place to be a witness of Life in the Spirit of walking with Jesus.

For this reason, "As you increase in the reliance of the Holy Spirit to fill you with the Father, through Christ Jesus--you will grow in the ability to see and experience Jesus in the realm of the kingdom."

Welcome to the Seer's House

As we conclude on today's Scripture reflection our Scripture is from the Book of Acts 9 concerning Paul's healing. Here, a man by the name of Ananias had an experience of the invisible realm by hearing an audible voice.

Here, Ananias was told interesting facts of Truth:

1. Ananias was told where to go: Here, he was told the exact address where Paul was.
2. Ananias was told why he was being sent: Here, he was told that Paul was blind.
3. Ananias was told how to bring healing to Paul: Here, he was told to lay his hand's on Paul to receive his sight.
4.  Ananias was told the result of being sent: Here, he was told that Paul was God's choice to preach the Gospel to the Gentiles.
5. Ananias was told how to release Paul into his healing: Ananias laid hands upon Paul and then released him in the fullness of healing through baptism in what is called the Prophetic Presbytery. (I will share more on this at another time.)

To me, this is fascinating on how the Holy Spirit moved to bring "Answer to Paul's Prayer." Here, while Paul was blind he had a vision of "Ananias coming into his home and laying his hand's on him to receive sight."

We read a few more in this same chapter of the Book of Acts 9, the Lord saying, "Paul has seen a vision of you coming to him laying hands on him for his healing."

To the measure you develop the Secret Place by the reliance upon the Holy Spirit to be filled with the Father through Christ, the greater your ability to operate as Prophetic Presbytery.

Here, we see that these examples given reveal Friendship with God.  Yet, at the same time, "Think about the last time you witnessed this in the Body of Christ, in these Day's of Glory."  This is what will be experienced as the Holy Spirit will perfect that which concerns the church.  Hallelujah!
