When God Speaks Why Does God Speak to Us Teach Me to Hear God's Voice School of Prayer
Seer House Blog is Where Seer's Of Jesus Meet in the Secret Place
What an exciting thought to know that God wants to speak to His people, and walk with them in the simple things of the day. Isn’t that the beginning of His Dream towards us? Recently, a preacher was asked from someone, “Does God really speak to you?” The preacher responded, “What are you crazy? God speaks His children everyday!” You would have had to hear this conversation as it was said in a humorous way! Nevertheless, God still speaks to us today.
In this time alone between my blog and I, I wanted to record some thoughts that have come to mind from the life of Abraham. The area I am meditating upon is these thoughts, “When God said.”
Genesis 12:1
Now the LORD (Jehovah) had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:
What Motivates God to Speak to Us?
“What motivates God to want to speak to us? Have you ever thought about that?” I love the study of the word ‘said’ in this verse because it describes the very heartbeat and motivation of God’s desire towards us.

·To call, to boast, to answer, to promise.
How wonderful it is to know that when God speaks to His children He wants to call us, in order to boast to us. We have to ask ourselves the question, “What does God want to boast to us about?”
God wants to speak to us so that we will come to a place of understanding what He has prepared for us in His kingdom! Hallelujah! We consider it a blessing when a brother or sister in our Lord calls us to talk to us, and what a blessing that is! However, when God speaks to us “His desire is reveal to us what He has prepared for us.” Isn’t that the way Love goes?
God not only wants to Share His Dream to us, and what He has planned for us, but “He also wants to show us what He has prepared for us.” Oh! Glory!!
Now the Lord had said…. to Abram. “ I have something for you Abram!! I have prepared something so wonderful for you that you can’t even imagine! I have worked in secret for you and I am giving you something after your own heart and mine!! I am going to make you into something wonderful in My kingdom. Oh!! Abram!! I just can’t wait to shew these things to you!! I have called you My Friend!! Around every corner and around every bend, I want to show you Abram!! I AM there!! I AM ready to reveal to you these things!! Oh! Hallelujah! In the same manner, Daddy has prepared these things for each of us, out of His desire of Friendship towards us.”
What Does God Want To Show Us?
The question is, “How does God show these things to Abram as recorded in verse 1?”

·To look at each other, face, to see a vision, to appear, to gaze at, present oneself, to have vision, to discern, to learn about, to find.
This is so exciting to know that we learn more of God’s heart because He gives us “Vision of who He is” in our lives to discern His voice. People ask, “Sister Lara? What is the vision that God has given you?” I simply say, “To see Jesus in the Secret Place.” Some get it! Some don’t!! However, “Seeing Jesus is the only Way in which God will reveal to us what He has prepared for us!”
As you continue to study the Life of Abram, you will read in Genesis 12:7, “And the LORD appeared unto Abram, and said, unto thy seed will I give this land: and there builded he an altar unto the LORD, who appeared unto him.”
The first thought that comes to the heart, “Wow! Can the Lord appear to me, too?” Oh! Dear Christian!! God wants to call us and boast to us because He wants to “Reveal to us His Son, Jesus” as our Vision. Oh! Glory!! Hallelujah!! It is amazing to me how the Holy Spirit stepped into the Life of Abram and pulled back the veil of the heavens, for a moment, to be the Witness of the unveiling of Jehovah! Jesus! To Abram!
Promised to See Jesus and His Kingdom:
In like manner the Holy Spirit has left us these precious promises in God’s Word to every New Testament believer that Jesus will come to you, too!
John 3:3
“Verily, verily I say unto you except a man be born again he cannot see the kingdom.” It is our Covenant rite to see Jesus and His kingdom because of the blood of Jesus and the washing of the water of the Word in our hearts and minds, which have, make us alive to God.
John 14:21b
“I will manifest myself to those that Love Me.” The word manifest means, “To strike the heart with light.” Paul prayed that our minds and hearts would be illuminated. Eph. 1
In closing…. God speaks today!
To each and everyone one of us! He has called us and prepared for us such glorious riches in Christ Jesus, His precious Son, things we could never hope or dream of.
"God speaks to us, to call to us, in order to boast of His desire to reveal His Son to us." Oh! Glory!
Much Love to you,
