"Welcome to the Seer's House
Where Seer's of Jesus Meet in the Secret Place"
When it comes to visions in the Holy Bible, one of the things I love to study the most are people in the Word of God who have experienced them so I can grow in the Secret Place. One of the visions I was studying today comes from the Life of the Apostle Paul during his Damascus road experience. At the same time, the result of His vision, left him blind for three days and three nights.
The effect of having a visitation of the Lord, like Paul, can have many insights to learn from. For example, we are told in the Word of God, "Test the Spirit" when you have a vision or dream from God. As well, we are told to "Test the Spirit" if you hear a voice or have a visitation. This thought also is shared to "Test the Spirit" if someone should speak to you a particular prophecy if it be of God or not.
However, I wonder what Paul was thinking? He had a visitation from the Lord that literally left him blind. If we were to "Test the Spirit" in Modern Day Christianity what would you think? Either way, Paul went on a three day and three night journey of prayer fully blind. It was during this time, "The Spiritual Sight of Paul" was supernaturally opened and Paul had a vision.
To me! That is amazing. It took Paul three days to have his eyes open to the realm of the Kingdom of heaven to walk in visions.
Acts 9: Topical Reading of Scriptures
1 Now Saul, still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest, 2 and asked for letters from him to the synagogues at Damascus, so that if he found any belonging to the Way, both men and women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem.
3 As he was traveling, it happened that he was approaching Damascus, and suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him; 4 and he fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?”
5 And he said, “Who are You, Lord?” And He said, “I am Jesus whom you are persecuting, 6 but get up and enter the city, and it will be told you what you must do.”
7 The men who traveled with him stood speechless, hearing the voice but seeing no one. 8 Saul got up from the ground, and though his eyes were open, he could see nothing; and leading him by the hand, they brought him into Damascus. 9 And he was three days without sight, and neither ate nor drank.
Outline of Events
A. Saul, who became Paul, was threatening the disciples and got letters from the Priests of recommendation to go to where they were.
B. A Great Light shined around Saul on his way to the disciples of Jesus that caused Saul to stop what he was doing in his pursuits. What was the Great Light? Here, the Great Light is the Person of the Holy Spirit. *It was the Holy Spirit that shined Light upon Saul because he meant to do harm to the disciples.
C. After Saul fell to the ground from the work of the Holy Spirit, Saul heard the voice of Jesus. Here, Jesus showed us how much He relied upon the Holy Spirit to create an atmosphere for Saul to cease from pursuing the disciples and cause him to be in a place to hear Jesus. The Holy Spirit always prepares a heart(s) to see and know Jesus in a personal way.
D. Jesus spoke to Saul in an audible voice. Saul was highly trained as he asked the voice he heard who it was and the reply was, "I am Jesus." This is very smart on Saul's behalf it shows that he has a sense of discernment. Jesus, our Good Shepherd leads His people into safety but He also leads; guides; and directs those who cause adverse situations in the Life of the Disciples then--and even now.
E. Interestingly, even those that were with Saul heard the audible voice of Jesus but did not experience the great Light that Saul saw and each had no Testimony of seeing Jesus.
F. Saul could not see for three days and three nights.
G. Saul was fasting: neither food or drink for these days.
Personally, I love how the Holy Spirit defends the disciples of Jesus. The Bible says that the Holy Spirit is our: Helper, Advocate, Intercessor, Stand-by, Advocate and more. However, I have never heard of the Holy Spirit being like this!
What makes this event so amazing to me--beyond what I can think or imagine, Saul gets to himself for three days and three nights praying and during that time Saul has a vision.
About the Holy Spirit:
The Holy Spirit creates an opening for a person to have a vision of the Kingdom.
The Holy Spirit desires the vision to point to Jesus.
The Holy Spirit closes natural ability (Saul's eyes were shut) to reveal vision in the inner man.
The Holy Spirit doesn't have to speak in order to get attention of the crowd of Saul. The crowd of Saul saw Saul fall to the ground.
The Holy Spirit causes the crowd of Saul to hear the voice of Jesus, too.
The Holy Spirit causes the crowd to follow the direction of Jesus that were with Saul to persecute the disciples.
Here, the Holy Spirit loves drama as this alone could be a movie in more ways then one. He creates the action, he quickens and turns around those who pursue to work for the good will of those who are doing the wrong thing with wrong motives in order to reveal God's Love, and more.
Revelation: Prophetic Expansion
To top all of that off what we just read, "The narrative gets even better!" While Saul is praying (Soon to be called Paul) and is blind across town the Holy Spirit creates an opening for the voice of our Lord Jesus to be heard a second time. At the same time, the Holy Spirit chooses people to further the cause of Christ to hear the voice of Jesus in an audible fashion.
You not consider hearing God's voice as a vision because most think visions are "Videos of the Spirit realm made real with lights, color, and action that can be seen by the eyes of our understanding through Spiritual Sight." At the same time, "Many consider visions and how they are seen through dreams" or "Supernatural knowing in the minds eye." However, in this case a man by the name of Ananias heard the voice of Christ Jesus telling him exactly what happend to Saul and to go where Paul lived--giving the street name and address in perfect detail and to lay hands on Saul to be healed from blindness."

As we look at the chalkboard we see the prophetic expansion of the Holy Spirit in visions. The Holy Spirit is hovering over the situation of Saul: being blind, fasting for three days and three nights, to answer his prayers. However, the Holy Spirit is also present across town where a man by the name of Ananias is. We do not glean from Scripture how far Ananias is from Saul, none the less, the Holy Spirit creates and opening of the portals of heaven, along with the opening of Ananias's hearing to hear the audible voice of Jesus speak to him concerning Saul.
What I find most striking about this whole situation is Jesus speaks to Ananias: a street name, a street address, who is in the house, the person's name, what the person needs, how to minister healing. Many Prophets today are moving in this type of prophecy -mostly in the continent of Africa. At the same time, I often experience this in visions during Intercession, too. One thing I have notice is there is no distance in what you see: Saul saw Ananias across town in a vision. Yet, at the same time, Ananias heard the Voice of Jesus --which is called a vision. This supernatural event is what I call "Prophetic expansion."
In like manner, we see the hovering work of the Holy Spirit in the Book of Genesis where God spoke, "Let there be light." It was there, the Holy Spirit began to hover over the earth and light came into being, and God saw it was good. There is no distance in visions as a Seer not because of the skill of a Seer but only because the Holy Spirit is always present and it is Him that creates and opens doors to see visions, and creates doors to close to see visions. The ultimate purpose and work of the Holy Spirit is to take from the Father, and reveal the Son. Yet, the ultimate purpose and work of Jesus is to reveal the Father, and allow the Father to reconcile what is His back to Himself. (2 Cor. 5:19, Col. 2)
The Account of Ananias
10 Now there was a disciple at Damascus named Ananias; and the Lord said to him in a vision, “Ananias.” And he said, “Here I am, Lord.” 11 And the Lord said to him, “Get up and go to the street called Straight, and inquire at the house of Judas for a man from Tarsus named Saul, for he is praying, 12 and he has seen in a vision a man named Ananias come in and lay his hands on him, so that he might regain his sight.”
13 But Ananias answered, “Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how much harm he did to Your saints at Jerusalem; 14 and here he has authority from the chief priests to bind all who call on Your name.” 15 But the Lord said to him, “Go, for he is a chosen instrument of Mine, to bear My name before the Gentiles and kings and the sons of Israel; 16 for I will show him how much he must suffer for My name’s sake.”
17 So Ananias departed and entered the house, and after laying his hands on him said, “Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the road by which you were coming, has sent me so that you may regain your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.” 18 And immediately there fell from his eyes something like scales, and he regained his sight, and he got up and was baptized; 19 and he took food and was strengthened.
In closing, God chooses different ways to bring a heart to know His Love. Let us not forget all those who were changed because of the change of Saul-who later became the Apostle Paul. As well, let us not forget how the Holy Spirit caused those in Saul's life at the time of heaven's opening and a great light shined, those who were with Saul were used to help Saul --by instruction of the Lord Jesus, where to take him.
In Closing Sister Lara-Seer Commentaries-The Meeting Room |
Some have often said, "I wish I had visions like this." Yet, we must ask ourselves, "Why do people have visions like this and others do not? Does it mean they live a less holy life?" I heard one person say they went to heaven and saw Jesus--and often experience that because they have a pure heart, and other's do not. In each move of God--like Saul, his heart was not pure yet he experienced a great conversion. Let us be careful, in the Awakening that we do not put the supernatural over the sensational.
Jesus appeared to Kenneth Hagin and said, "My people put the supernatural of following of signs; wonders; miracles; and experiences above the sensational." Jesus went on to say, "The sensational is the ability to be led of the Holy Spirit and these that are led of the Holy Spirit are Son's of God."
Yet...it is the right of everyone to "See into the kingdom of heaven" according to John 3:3-5. Jesus said, "Verily, verily if you are born again (Reconciled in God -2 Cor. 5:19), you can see into the kingdom." As well, Jesus said, "If you are born of the water and the Spirit--you can enter into the kingdom."
To those in the Awakening of this hour in a time of Sonship and many voices, let us be committed to the Ministry the Father personally said that He committed to each person in Sonship. 2 Cor. 5:18-19 says, "To wit God was in Christ to reconcile the world unto himself, not imputing their transgressions, but hath reconciled the world unto Himself committing to us the Ministry and Word of Reconciliation."
Living in God is living in Rest in the Spirit of Sonship and abiding in the Kingdom through His Dear Son, Christ Jesus by the Holy Spirit. Just as Jesus relied upon the Holy Spirit to be filled with the Father, "Every person of Sonship relies upon the Holy Spirit to fill them with Christ so the Father will work through them." Here, is the mystery of Sonship revealed: Authority comes by who you are filled with. That is, the drought of a soul and transformation from that drought comes when a soul is filled with Christ Jesus. Secondly, Power comes by the Father working through--Christ in you, the Hope of Glory.
